Key points
- Before treatment this patient had several spaces between the teeth, including one between the two upper front teeth.
- Clear aligners closed the spaces gradually, with each new set making a small change.
- Because aligners come out for meals and brushing, they suit busy adults who want a low-key option.
- At the end, retainers hold the teeth together so the gaps stay closed.
About this transformation
This 28-second clip shows one of Dr Sarah Sadek's aligner patients before and after their gaps were closed.
Whether aligners are right for your gaps is decided at a free consultation at our Waterloo Road practice. Results vary from person to person.
Questions we often hear
Is a gap between the front teeth easy to close?
Often, yes, but it depends on why the gap is there. We check your gums, bite and tooth sizes before recommending treatment.
Will people notice I am wearing aligners at work?
Most people will not. Aligners are clear and thin, and small tooth-coloured attachments are usually hard to spot.
Do you offer AddaSmile at Waterloo?
Yes. We offer AddaSmile, a clear aligner brand, as well as Invisalign, and can compare both at your consultation.
