Most courses of treatment take between 12 and 24 months, depending on how much your teeth need to move. We'll give you an estimate at your consultation.
Your teeth may feel tender or under pressure for a few days after fitting and after adjustments. This usually settles quickly, and we'll give you tips to stay comfortable.
No. Many of our braces patients are adults. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, you can usually have braces at any age.
NHS braces are for under-18s who meet the NHS need criteria, usually after a referral from their dentist. Our sister practice, Addiscombe Orthodontics in Croydon, provides NHS braces for eligible children. We can also discuss private options.
