Key points
- Before and after photos of one patient, 8 months apart, treated with clear aligners.
- Wearing aligners for around 22 hours a day is the biggest factor in staying on schedule.
- Regular check-ins let your orthodontist make sure the teeth are tracking as planned.
- Your own timescale depends on your teeth and is estimated at your consultation.

Questions we often hear
Does aligner treatment always take 8 months?
No. Some cases are quicker and many take longer. It depends on how much your teeth need to move.
What if I lose an aligner?
Call us. Depending on where you are in treatment, you may move to your next set or we may order a replacement.
How often do I need appointments?
Usually every 6 to 10 weeks, with some check-ins possible between visits.
