Key points
- The video catches a patient's reaction on seeing their finished smile.
- Each new set of aligners can feel snug for a day or two while the teeth move.
- That pressure is normal and usually eases quickly.
- After the reveal, retainers keep the teeth from drifting back.
About this transformation
A feel-good 38-second clip of a patient's reaction at the end of clear aligner treatment with Dr Sarah Sadek.
Results vary, and suitability is checked at a free aligner consultation at Waterloo Dental.
Questions we often hear
How long does each aligner feel tight?
Usually a day or two after you switch to a new set. Changing aligners at night can help, as you sleep through the first few hours.
Can I still go out and socialise with aligners?
Yes. You take them out to eat and drink anything other than water, then clean your teeth before putting them back.
How do I keep my result?
Wear your retainers exactly as advised, especially in the first year after treatment.
